We often use this command while operating our PC's . How relevant is this Command when we apply it to our lives ? Do we in India have a life we really had imagined to be ..or more soever do we even IMAGINE what we imagine or is it just a some Ctrl C Ctrl V thing .
Right from the childhood we are compared to others who do better than us . That is the very basic issue which gives way to problem of copying . When two people are compared one either leaves it as that is not his/her thing OR one tries to Ctrl C Ctrl V on to his life . When we are children we lack the decision making ability to choose something which is good for us . Something which is attractive / widely bought / in fashion is where children get attracted towards . The decision making ability of leaving a particular thing which is not his/her thing comes when we become adults , we do things which is of our priority . So coming to the main point , when we are children , our decisions , particularly about our future careers are based upon things which are in Fashion , trendy or something what the person better than us is doing . Our ability of imagining things , enjoying things we love to do are hampered and what we end up doing is Ctrl C Ctrl V .
Sometimes children are pushed to do something they don't like by their parents which is rampant in India . The creativity & freedom of thought of the child gets killed ! This leads children to develops a forced tendency of copying , even though he may not be happy with what he is doing . Then there is all sorts of emotional drama at Indian homes . God damn it ! At least we should learn from the animals who give freedom to their children of leading their lives on their own and surviving it too . Ctrl C Ctrl V is rampant in India as far as lifestyles are concerned . We are producing engineers & doctors in heaps , but the quality standards are BAD . There were some news recently where IISC Banglore's scientist copied material from a Foreign Author in his Thesis or some project report . If Copying is done in Institutes which we look upon to as centers of excellence then we can imagine what the condition prevails .
I often get to hear things from some of my friends that they are not happy with what they are doing and then they have to plan it altogether again or else they are left with compromising their lives which is a very sorry state . Why not do it at the foundation level itself in childhood !
My personal thoughts be Real , Be Original and always strive to do your own things . I've realized it after many mistakes and i must share this , copying is just not good ! Its a short term solution to a long term problem . :)
Quite a broad thinking! Children usually hesitate to say this and keep on suffering their whole lives, by implementing this act of imitating, in spite of being aware of the consequences. Parents actually keep comparing their children with other children and ignore the talent and innovation hidden in their own child.By the time they realize, their children already become copy cats beginning from school to the workplace to their own children...and the cycle never ends.
ReplyDeleteSo, as very well written, first we need to work on the basic. Plagiarism is an offence in Foreign Universities, but compelling or say cajoling a child to be plagiarized is much more offensive.
Some readers will say...now that's stereotyping..but girls n guys...wake up, its a situation which is still prevalent and that's the reason this issue has been raised by this young writer.
Thanks Antriksh to dare to write on this issue.
